Bernhard's all agog over automobiles
ARRIVING in Adelaide on a drive through Australia in a Goggomobil, Bernhard Seiffert concedes there are more comfortable ways to do the journey.
"Some people climb the highest mountain, others walk for 20km - I like to be in my Goggomobil and drive for 10 hours," said Mr Seiffert, of Berlin, Germany.
Staying with another Goggo fan John Deruiter, of Kilburn, Mr Seiffert said his only car trouble was just outside Alice Springs.
"I had gearbox trouble but I had enough spare parts to manage."
The pair became friends through the Goggomobil Register of Australia, which records all the Goggo fans in the nation.

Goggomobils make for easy manoeuvrability.
Mr Seiffert freighted his 45-year-old car to Australia and was joined by other Gogg friends Bernhard and Sabine Bergmann.
Mr Seiffert said he loved the trip so far but Adelaide was his favourite.
town, lovely parks and urban life. I think I could live here, it's very nice."

Mr Deruiter said there were about 30 to 50 Goggomobils in Adelaide but only five "true Goggomobil enthusiasts".
